how i will rate movies from now on:

I find that rating movies with a number can be tough sometimes. I just think this experience/feeling-based system will be a more accurate way to judge a movie, rather than assigning it a solid number. Also, with the advent of my MoviePass/AMC A-List/Sinemia, as well as my trying to be less pessimistic as possible, I've reworded some of the categories!

So here's the categories I will 'file' movies under:

This movie is absolutely excellent and one I will want to watch all the time. I probably found this movie very fun, meaningful, etc.

Very good, but just short of excellence.

(Category previously named "Going In My Blu-Ray Collection")

TOO MANY MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

An alright time, nothing special or recommendation worthy about the movie. Expectations probably killed the experience, or there were one or two small fixes short of being a good time. (Category previously named “Why Did I Watch This?”)

DIDN'T WASTE MY TIME

I had a good time in the theater and liked the film overall, but didn't find anything too transcendent/extraordinary.

(Category previously named "Didn't Waste
My Money")

FACEPALM GALORE

Pretty self-explanatory. (Category previously known as “I Hate My Life”)
